Since July 20, Super Junior has been on every news. They have been the global attraction because of their new album release.
On August 1, Super Junior revealed the first look at Mr. Simple’s music video. Since then, it has already gained more than 1 million views on Youtube. Moreover, Mr. Simple’s teasers were the most liked and watched videos of August 1st. The teaser received Youtube’s Triple Crown (i.e. “Most Viewed”, “Most Favorited”, and “Most Discussed”).
Soon after, Super Junior revealed the tracks to Mr. Simple on different Korean websites and it found its way to the top of the charts on every website. When Dosirak released their top 10 songs list, tracks from Mr. Simple occupied all top 10 positions.
Likewise, the title track, “Mr. Simple”, conquered the first position on Daum and Bugs’ charts. On Naverand Melon, it has reached the 2nd position.
Recently, Super Junior’s Mr. Simple has grabbed the top position on Hanteo Real Time Chart, beating the renowned 2Ne1 and Teen Top.
Mr. Simple, the title track of the album by the same name, was most anticipated by fans. Ever since its audio release, it is the most listened song. SM Entertainment stated, “Mr. Simple expresses how modern people lose their achievement for their job, love, and dream without breadth of mind in such a complicated world, with humorous and metaphorical words.” Perhaps, this is the reason why this song is loved by the listeners.
Of course, all credit go to SUJU. But, there is one more reason behind the song’s success, ELFs (SJ’s official fanclub members). Super Junior fans call it “ELF Power”. According to them, it’s just the beginning. They want to see Super Junior on the top.
On August 4, Super Junior will hold a press conference to formally announce their comeback and release the music video to Mr. Simple. The press conference will be shown live on SM-E’s Youtube channel and Facebook page.
